Are You Focused on the Right Details?

Do you know what details you should focus on when creating your business?  

It’s important to pay attention to specific details to track success and redirect your goals and focus when necessary. Consistency is important, but that consistency needs to be directed toward your goals. And those goals need to be clear in order to adequately track your progress toward them.  

Pay Attention 

Pay close attention to the details of your marketing and your money. If you don’t understand net profit, customer value, and marketing, then you aren’t paying close enough attention. It’s time to take a step back and invest in educating yourself in these areas. You have to understand your money, what you’re spending it on, and how it’s coming back to you.  

There are three questions you need to know the answer to at any given moment: 

  • How many leads do you make weekly? 
  • How many sales do you make weekly? 
  • How much revenue do you make weekly? 

If you cannot answer these questions, then you’re not paying close enough attention. You may be headed toward disaster.  

It’s important to focus on the people you’re reaching, the products you’re offering, and the process by which you’re putting the product into people’s hands. Do you know your people, products, and process?  


You are not the only one who needs to be aware of these details. The team as a whole needs clear communication from top to bottom. Know your team members. Never take them for granted. Your team elevates you and makes you look good. Great people know that they do not find success on their own but that it’s a group effort.  

Make sure you take good care of your team and value each member. The feelings will be mutual toward you as well. Create a culture that puts the team first, and the entire team will be more effective for it. Learn to delegate utilizing the strengths of each person to strengthen your business. Your bottom line will thank you for it.
